Albert P. “Abe” Kezmarsky
Albert P. “Abe” Kezmarsky, age 87, of West Leisenring, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday evening, July 8, 2005, under the loving care of The Marquis House, Fayette Home Care and his loving family.
He was born January 25, 1918, in West Leisenring, Pa., the son of Joseph Kezmarsky and Anna Wardzella Kezmarsky.
“Abe” was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in West Leisenring, an Honorary Charter Member of the West Leisenring Fire Hall and a member of The Connellsville Slovak Club.
He graduated from the now former Dunbar Township High School Class of 1935.
He was a veteran of the United States Army who served in World War II.
“Abe” was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Veronica M. “Babe” Franko Kezmarsky, his brothers, Edward, Stephen and Joseph, sisters, Margaret Brasko, Emma Brasko, and his infant twin sister.
“Abe” is survived by his loving children: Paul A. Kezmarsky and his wife, Mary Ann, of Mahwah, New Jersey, Judy Dehn and her husband, Tom, of Delaware, Ohio, Dennis J. Kezmarsky and his wife, Susan, of Voorhees, New Jersey, and Tom Kezmarsky and his wife, Sue, of Connellsville, Pa.; 10 Grandchildren and one Great Grandson; his brother, Irwin “Kep” Kezmarski of Vermillion, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins; good friends and neighbors in Bute that always took great care of “Abe”; and his loving caretaker and friend, Lydia Youler and her husband, Ed, and their family.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., on Monday evening, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday morning, July 13, until 8:45 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, West Leisenring, with Msgr. J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded at graveside.
Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
