Rose Ann Clutter Baker
Rose Ann Clutter Baker, age 75, of Chalk Hill, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in South Fayette Nursing Home, Markleysburg, Pa. She was born September 15, 1929, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Joseph Clutter and Beula Grace Merifield Clutter.
Rose Ann was formerly employed by Fort Necessity in the Information Center.
Throughout her life she had been active with the various PTA’s of her children.
She enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, family picnics, cooking and her many friends.
Rose Ann, who was also known as “Priss” and/or “Nonny” to her family and friends, will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her!
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Margaret, Betty and Iva Mae, and two brothers, Joe and James.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Homer Duane Baker, whom she married on April 14, 1949, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and with whom she had three wonderful children: Amelia Ann Baker Geer of Hollidaysburg, Pa., Jeffrey Duane Baker of Edinboro, Pa., and James Philip Baker and his wife, Cynthia, of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Pauline Poling of Bridgeport, West Virginia, who is the last of the Clutter children; nine grandchildren: Michelle Geer, Scott Baker, Bill Baker, Greg Baker, Brittany Baker, Clayton Reinsel, Garrett Reinsel, Kayla Baker and Erica Baker; also two great grandchildren: Shelby and Samantha.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, July 11, from 10 a.m. until noon. Service will begin at noon with Pastor Philip S. Ramstad from St. John Lutheran Church, Connellsville, Pa., officiating.
