Helen Sabo Karwatske
Helen Sabo Karwatske, age 80, of Messmore, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born April 24, 1925, in McClellandtown, Pa., daughter of Charles Sabo and Anna Berdar Sabo.
Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Salem, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anthony Karwatske, and these sisters and brother, Anna Panuta, Sophie Wydo, Charles Sabo and Anna Gazella.
She is survived by four daughters and one son, Mary Ann Cecchini and her husband, Phillip, of Oliver, Uniontown, Pa., Anthony Karwatske and his wife, Charlotte, of Uniontown, Pa., Betty Byers and her husband, James, Helen Smith and her husband, Chuck, and Cindy Belch and her husband, Robert, all of McClellandtown, Pa.; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers: Julia Sabo Barnhart of McClellandtown, Mike Sabo of New York state, Margaret Sabo Willis and John Sabo both of McClellandtown.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who enjoyed baking, cooking and being with her family. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched!
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today after 7 p.m., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 13, until 10 a.m. when Panachida will be held in the funeral home.
Funeral Services follow at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Father Vitaly Dudkin officiating.
Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church Cemetery.
Parastas will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
