The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Sandy Risha, of Uniontown and a junior at Uniontown Area High School, as Student of the Month for February. The daughter of Joe and Ronda Risha, she hopes to attend The University of Notre Dame, but is undecided on the course of study and her career goal. She is a member of St. George’s Church, active in the St. George’s youth group, interfaith caregivers and teaches catechism and bible school.
Sally is involved in the extracurricular activities at Uniontown Area High School. Her activities include: the cross country team, softball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spring Musical Pit Orchestra, marching band, concert band, Tomahawk newspaper staff, math team and student council treasurer.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities and citizenship, Students of the Month are honored by the Chamber’s Education Council.
They are presented a recognition certificate at the Students of the Month luncheon.
The Uniontown Area Students of the Month (second semester) were sponsored by Tri-County Abstract. Tri-County Abstract is a proud member of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce.
