Road contraction begins in Luzerne
LUZERNE TWP. – The Luzerne Township Board of Supervisors said Tuesday that there PennDOT has been involved in road construction from the Isabella Y to the East Millsboro Y since July 5. Officials said that construction will last until Sept. 15, and residents should be aware that there will be one-lane traffic and delays.
The supervisors also reminded the public that there are recycling containers located at the Hiller Fire Hall and at the township building in the outer parking lot.
In other business, bids for the phase II sewerage project will be opened at the township building on Aug. 23 at 2 p.m., and there will be a public meeting concerning the phase III sewerage project on July 21 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Nixon Gun Club.
The phase III sewerage project will serve Swan Plan, and parts of Bull Run and Telegraph Roads.
The board’s next public meeting will be on Aug. 9 at 3 p.m.
