Anna E. Bartos
Anna E. (Kovach) Bartos, also known as Anna Bartosh, 94, of Searights, Pa., passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 12, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Collier, Pa., daughter of the late Paul and Anna Krafcheck Kovach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bartos; an infant daughter at birth; a brother, John Kovach; and sisters, Anna Kovach, in infancy, Mary Balas, Margaret Kozel and Helen Korona.
Anna was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church in New Salem, the Altar Rosary Society of the Church and the Fairchance Jednota Lodge.
Surviving to cherish her memories are her four children, Dolores Charnovich and her husband, Richard of Brier Hill, Marian Novak and her husband, Stephen of Bedford, Ohio, Anna Jane Yuhaniak and her husband, Andrew of Uniontown, and Michael Bartos and his wife, Ruth of Searights, with whom she made her home; seven beloved grandchildren, Sharon Vlk and her husband, Leroy, Lori Bailey and her husband, Wayne, Mark Yuhaniak and his wife, Linda, Rita Rosso and her husband, Michael, Michael Bartos Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, Melanie Kozak and her husband, Jared and Richard Charnovich. Anna cherished her four great-grandchildren, Marinda Lynn Yuhaniak, Trevor Michael Yuhaniak, Anna Louise Vlk and Sarah Bailey. She is survived by one sister, Susan Labutta of Collier; and brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, today from 2 to 9 p.m., and Friday, July 15, 2005, until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., in St., Procopius R.C. Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 3 p.m., in the funeral home.
