William T. Dickinson
William T. Dickinson, 81, of Richeyville, Pa., died Friday, July 15, 2005, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. He was born on Oct. 7, 1923, in Centerville Boro, Pa., a son of the late Charles and Annie Hopes Dickinson.
William was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marines. He was a POW with Combat Wounds received in the Pacific Theater.
He retired from Gateway Coal Company, with 42 years of service. William was a member of the American Legion Post 940 of West Brownsville, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores F. Landman Dickinson, a brother, Thomas Dickinson, and two sisters, Bernice Hegedus and Eunice Opsincs.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Rockwell and husband, Mick of Denbo Heights, Pa.; sons, Dr. William Dickinson and Dr. Shirley of Greensboro, Pa., and Robert Dickinson and wife, Mary of Aylet, Va.; eight grandchildren, Brian and Kelly Rockwell, Amy Ehlers, William Dickinson, Don Hilenbrant, Kimberly Miller, Stephanie Phalen and Bradley Dickinson; four great-grandsons, Bailey and Nathan Rockwell and Dylan and Matthew Miller; sisters, Jane Radcliff of the state of Arizona, Jeannette Dickinson of the state of California, and Bonnie Pervis of the state of Maryland; and a brother, Charles Dickinson of the state of California.
