Weapons stolen A 15-year-old boy from Lemont Furnace told state police someone stole two weapons from his Penn Avenue residence between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 26.

Medication missing

Alice Pennington of Smithfield told state police someone took prescription medicine and cash from her Blackhill Road residence between October 2004 and July 1.

Vehicle shot

State police said someone shot at a vehicle driven by Sara Altemus of Johnstown with a BB gun while she was traveling south on Route 982 at 3:15 p.m. Monday.

Police said the shots cracked the windshield and shattered the passenger-side window.

North Union Twp.

Man jailed

State police said Carl Russell Moore of Uniontown was placed in the Fayette County Prison after he allegedly stole a purse belonging to Jessica Marie Lowry of Uniontown at 11 p.m. Sunday.

Lowry told police she was sitting in a vehicle at 121 Atlas Crossing when Moore reached in the vehicle and stole her purse.

Man cited

State police said John Brink, 48, of Connellsville was cited for criminal mischief after he allegedly was involved in an argument with Verna Moore, 42, of Dunbar at Moore’s 205 Bell Drive residence Monday at 10:30 p.m.

Police allege Brink caused $50 in damage to Moore’s front door during the altercation.

Window damaged

State police said someone shot a BB gun at a vehicle belonging to Jon Scott of 178 Footedale Road at 6:30 p.m. Monday, damaging a window.

Dunbar Twp.

Gasoline stolen

State police said a man pumped $42.80 worth of gasoline into a white sport utility vehicle July 13 at 10:26 a.m. at Dairy Mart, located at 2001 Crawford Ave., and left without paying.

In a separate incident, police reported that another person pumped $29.09 worth of gasoline into a red Chevrolet Cavalier at 9:48 p.m. Sunday at the same business.

Man charged

State police said charges were filed against Daniel W. Frey, 25, of Smithfield after he allegedly used a stolen credit card belonging to Blaine E. Reese Sr. of Uniontown to purchase items at the J&G Foodmart on May 13.

Man charged

Matt Etling, 22, of Perryopolis was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a door frame of a Perryopolis residence on Monday at 5 a.m.

Sticker removed

Joseph R. Evans of 161 Lincoln St. told city police Tuesday that he noticed someone had removed the registration sticker from his vehicle while he was at work.

Tools stolen

Charles Yocabet of Grindstone told state police someone entered a shed at his residence between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday and stole an air compressor, a rototiller and a toolbox.

Home burglarized

State police said someone broke into the Stuckslager Road residence of Harold Adams between 9 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Wednesday and stole several power tools, two frozen pizzas, a battery charger and a toolbox.

In June, the borough police department investigated 16 calls with a breakdown of one assault, two assists, one check on the welfare, one non-reportable accident, one miscellaneous call, one disturbance, one domestic, six harassment, one theft and one sex offense. Officers issued one traffic citation, four non-traffic citations, four written traffic warnings and two parking tickets.

Officers also logged 723 miles on patrol vehicles.
