A rock was thrown through a window on a vehicle owned by Jerry Kessler of Allison on Second Street in Allison 1, state police said. The incident was reported Sunday at 11:45 a.m.

State police said a window on a car owned by Tammy Brown of Scottdale was smashed on Kingview Road between 11 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Money stolen

State police said $10 was stolen from Katherine Vincent’s unlocked vehicle at 110 Railroad St. in Ruffsdale before 4 a.m. July 18.

Burglary attempted

State police said someone removed a screen from a window and tried to pry open a rear door at 1201 Emma St. and also scratched a vehicle door July 19 between 6 and 8:30 p.m. The victims were Roy Bach, 37, and Rachael Bach, 28, of Scottdale.

Break-in reported

State police said a work trailer owned by WJ&B Asphalt of Scottdale was broken into between July 16 and 18 on KNDI Quarry Road, but nothing was stolen.

Report released

In June, borough police issued 29 traffic citations, two parking citations, five other citations and 24 traffic warnings, according to a monthly police activity report. Police made six court appearances, settled two domestic disputes, responded to two assaults, three burglaries, three larcenies, one traffic accident, three criminal complaints with arrests, one sex offense, two alcohol/drug violations, two incidents of disorderly conduct, four harassment cases, five cases of criminal mischief, 11 housing code violations and seven other offenses. Police assisted other agencies 10 times, assisted residents 16 times and performed 12 law violation assists. Police logged 1,298 miles on patrol vehicles.

Vehicle burned

A blue and silver 1987 Ford F-150 was discovered burning along Colvin Shaft Road at 3:30 a.m. Friday, state police said. The vehicle was nearly destroyed by fire, police said. The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.

Theft reported

Someone stole speakers, amplifiers and fishing poles from inside 34-year-old Rices Landing resident Dustin Roberts’ vehicle after breaking the driver’s side window at a manufacturing company parking lot along Route 88 between 8 p.m. July 11 and 8 a.m. July 12, state police at Waynesburg said.

Man accused

State police at Waynesburg said a 43-year-old Prosperity man was under the influence of alcohol while at a Victoria Drive intersection at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

Vehicle found

A 1991 Dodge Caravan reported stolen to the Brownsville Police Department on July 13 was found in a hotel parking lot at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, state police said. The vehicle belongs to Isadore Martini of Grindstone, police said.

Two arraigned

Frank Benny Casper of 207 Langley Road, Uniontown, and Robert A. Casper Jr. of 505 Morgantown Road, Uniontown, were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rubish on charges of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment after they allegedly fought at 2505 Morgantown Road at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, state police said. Police allege that during the confrontation, Frank Casper pulled a gun and the gun was accidentally discharged. Police ask that anyone with information call the Uniontown station at 724-439-7111.

Charges filed

Connellsville police have filed charges in the following unrelated cases:

– Against a 17-year-old boy for harassment after he allegedly punched a West Morton Avenue man in the face during an argument Wednesday. The juvenile will appear before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty at a later date.

– Against Steven Leo Jaworski, 41, of Connellsville, for public drunkenness Wednesday after he allegedly was found intoxicated on McCormick Avenue near Pulaski Street.

– Against Ronald M. Lilley, 45, of Connellsville July 17 for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order issued by Fayette County Judge Ralph Warman. Police said Lilley was arrested after an alleged disturbance between him and his wife.

– Against Dale Davis, 45, of Connellsville, who was arrested at his residence for harassment July 19 after an incident in which he allegedly grabbed and shoved a female. He will appear before Magisterial District Justice Ronald Haggerty later.

– Against Donald (D.J.) Phifer, 30, of Connellsville, Daniel Swope, 26, of Uniontown and Helen Wolfe, 37, of Connellsville for an incident in which inflatable rafts were stolen from a Seventh Street residence July 17. Police said Phifer and Swope were charged with theft and receiving stolen property, while Wolfe was charged with receiving stolen property.

All will appear before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty later.

– Against Miguel A. Gomez, 30, of Mexico on July 16 on charges of being a fugitive from justice. Police said Gomez, who is a Mexican national, was illegally in the United States and was wanted by the U.S. Marshal Service. He was arraigned before North Union Magisterial District Judge Deberah L. Kula and lodged in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bond, pending extradition.

– Against Martha Hatter, 47, of Connellsville for public drunkenness after she allegedly was found intoxicated July 15. Hatter will face a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty later.

– Against Angela D. Lint, 22, and Johnny L. Brink, 23, both of Connellsville, Monday after an alleged domestic dispute in Gibson Terrace. Police said Lint was arrested for disorderly conduct, while Brink was arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Brink was subsequently arrested for scattering rubbish after tearing up the previous citations and throwing them on the ground, police said. Brink and Lint will face preliminary hearings.

– Against Brian K. Onesko, 24, of Uniontown for rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and sexual assault Saturday after he allegedly raped a mentally disabled woman. Onesko was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rubish of Perryopolis and lodged in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $25,000 straight cash bond. He will face a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty.

– Against Wilbur E. Lilley Jr., 24, of Normalville for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order Saturday. He will have to appear before Fayette County Judge Ralph Warman.

– Against John L. Warmuth, 47, of Connellsville on Thursday for retail theft after an incident at Sheetz on West Crawford Avenue. Police said an employee reported watching Warmuth pump $10 worth of gas into his vehicle and leave without paying.

Warmuth will appear before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty.

Police investigate

City police are investigating the following incidents:

– The theft of a black and chrome 20-inch boy’s “Bump” bicycle Wednesday from the porch of a residence in the 400 block of South Pittsburgh Street.

– The theft of an antique clock Wednesday from a residence on West Crawford Avenue.

– Theft of services July 19 at the Sunoco A-Plus on Route 119. Police said the cashier reported that she was short-changed by a customer for $20. Police are looking for a white male driving an older-model red Jeep Cherokee with a luggage rack on the top and a trailer hitch. Police said an arrest is pending identification of the man from the store video surveillance camera.

– Theft of papers from an unlocked vehicle July 19 in the 600 Block of North Pittsburgh Street.

– The theft and recovery of a white, four-door Ford Escort with blue bumpers that was taken from the 300 block of West Fayette Street on July 19 and found burned in Wheeler Bottom on July 21.

– A case of criminal mischief that was reported Sunday at Gordon’s Euro Auto Haus on Route 119. Police said the passenger side front windows were shattered on five vehicles.

– A case of criminal mischief in which someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of South Pittsburgh Street on Sunday.

– The theft of a Nintendo Game Cube from a house in the 300 Block of North Arch Street on July 21.

– The theft of a car stereo and CD player from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 Block of South 12th Street on Saturday.

Fugitive arrested

While responding to a complaint at High Point Restaurant for a suspicious person, California Borough police arrested Christopher Lincavage, 43, no known address, on outstanding warrants from Greene County. The incident occurred July 7 at 8:55 p.m.

Lincavage was then detained and turned over to a Greene County deputy sheriff, then placed in the Greene County Jail.

Man charged

California Borough police cited Carl Decker, 46, of 255 Wood St., Richeyville, for disorderly conduct for allegedly using obscene language in front of children at California Terrace. The incident occurred July 10 at 10:01 a.m.

Phone stolen

Tera Johnson, 26, of Bentleyville told California Borough police that someone took her cell phone from her car while it was parked in Sheehan’s Grocery Store parking lot. The incident was reported July 11 at 2:40. p.m. According to police, the windows had been left down in the car while Johnson was in the store.

Bad check charge filed

California Borough police filed bad check charges against Albert Richter Sr., 40, of 327 First St., California, based on a complaint filed by Copy Cat alleging that Richter bought two cellular telephones at the store on June 29 for $412.78, paying for them with a check with insufficient funds. Richter reportedly failed to make good on the check, resulting in the charges July 13.

California Borough police filed charges against a brother and sister following a domestic dispute July 18 at 9:20 a.m. at 149 Monroe Way, California. James Shrum, 50, of 149 Monroe Way, was charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking his 51-year-old sister, Joyce Shrum Teich, of the same address. Teich suffered injuries to her head and face.

Teich was charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for allegedly striking Shrum and breaking a coffee cup and portable phone during the dispute.

Cars collide

State police said no one was injured when vehicles driven by David Muchisko of New Salem and Jolene Schiavoni of Uniontown collided along Route 4008 near the intersection with Pine Street Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

Luzerne Twp.

Officers assaulted

According to state police, Fayette County Probation Officers James Williams and Krista Cessna were both physically assaulted as they attempted to serve an arrest warrant on an unidentified 34-year-old man, who struck Williams in the face and kicked Cessna in the chest Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at Solomon’s Trailer Court. A second man also assaulted the two during the altercation, police said. The unidentified man was placed in the Fayette County Prison following the attack.

Two-vehicle crash

State police said a motorcycle operated by James Arnold of Brownsville collided with a pickup driven by Christopher Higbee of Dawson along Route 201 at 2:10 a.m. Sunday. Arnold suffered major injuries to his left leg, police said.

One-car crash

State police said Justin Yauger, 18, of Lemont Furnace suffered moderate injuries when the vehicle he was driving crashed along Curry Hill Road Tuesday at 3:30 a.m. He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment, police said.

Women cited

State police said citations for harassment were issued against Shelly Sante, 37, of Uniontown and Janet Hustosky, 37, of Uniontown at an Airway Inn Road residence sometime Monday.

According to state police, Robert Mackey, 31, of Uniontown was cited for trespassing after he entered the new Wal-Mart after being told he was not allowed in the store Sunday at 5:10 p.m.

City police said World Importing of South Beeson Boulevard reported Tuesday at 1 p.m. that thousands of dollars worth of lottery tickets were stolen. Police are investigating the incident.

City police said the back door of Angela Preston’s 48 Pershing Court apartment was broken down, a cordless phone was stolen and her apartment was ransacked between 3 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Monday.

City police said Eugenie A. Washabaugh of Uniontown suffered a medical problem while driving and she hit a pillar at the PNC Bank drive-through on Church Street at 2:48 p.m. Monday.

City police said two windows on John Moore’s vehicle were reported broken at the White Swan Apartments on West Main Street at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. In another incident, police said, Claude E. Thomas reported Tuesday at 6 a.m. that someone broke a window on his vehicle at 95 Fairview St.

Also, Stacy Cummings told city police that someone broke a window on her car at Rear 31 Morgantown St. Monday at 6:29 p.m.

Windows shot out

City police said a window on Roberta Rhodes’ North Gallatin Avenue home was shot with a BB and two angel statues were stolen from her front porch. The incident was reported Tuesday at 1:46 p.m.

City police said vehicle reported stolen by Robert Kocak of Connellsville Street at 5 a.m. Tuesday was recovered a short time later in an alley behind the 200 block of Coolspring Street.

Pole struck

City police said someone driving a tractor-trailer knocked over a city light pole on Main Street near Morgantown Street at 6:19 p.m. Monday. The incident is under investigation.

Brownsville

Man jailed

According to Brownsville police, Jerry Mapstone, 32, of Brownsville was placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of bond following his arrest Saturday on two outstanding warrants and numerous charges.

Mapstone was wanted on two outstanding warrants for misdemeanor defiant trespassing. He was also charged with flight to avoid apprehension, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, defiant trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and several vehicle and traffic violations. Mapstone was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and jailed in lieu of posting a total of $8,000, 10 percent on each of three separate bonds.

Harassment reported

Southwest Regional police cited Brian A. Civic, 33, of Irwin, for harassment following an incident at 323 Water St. in Belle Vernon Monday at 4:20 p.m. The charge was filed with Magisterial District Judge Jesse Cramer.

Brownsville

Theft reported

According to Brownsville police, someone broke into Mark Lee’s garage at 500 Church St., Brownsville. Lee told police the garage door was intact July 19 or 20. On July 22, he noticed that it was damaged and that $100 worth of white aluminum gutter and mounting hardware had been taken.

Break-in reported

Christopher Rhodes of 625 High St., Brownsville, told police that someone broke into his house on Saturday prior to 9:45 p.m. Rhodes told police he found his front window half open, with a small branch and some small rocks on the floor inside the window. Rhodes told police nothing appeared to be missing. The scene was fingerprinted.
