Anna P. Softa
Anna P. Softa, age 79, of Keisterville, Pa. passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at her home. She was born December 3, 1925 at Keisterville, the daughter of Frank and Anna Duda Bunda. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Softa, a son, David and these brothers and sisters: Frank Bunda, John Bunda, Walter Funds, Stanley Bendo, Edward Bunda, Helen Arnold and Pauline Snyder.
Ann was a member of the Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church of Smock and was an avid bowler who bowled at the Fairbank Bowling Center.
She is survived by four sons and a daughter; Joseph Softa and his wife, Phyllis of Uniontown, Mark Softa and his wife, Diane of Uniontown, Tab Softa and his wife, Liz of Hopwood, Mickey Softa and Hope and her son, Jacob all of Keisterville and Arlene Softa at home, two grandchildren: April Sabatini and her husband, Dominic and Justin Softa and his wife, Julie, one great granddaughter, Malina Sabatini, a sister: Victoria Bunda of Uniontown and two brothers, Pete Bendo and his wife, Frances and Joseph Bendo and his wife, Flo, all of Uniontown.
Also to be remembered, her special friend and caregiver, Carol Pitts and the Fayette Home Care nurses.
Friends will be received in the Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2005 when Prayers of Transfer will be said in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Smock, Pa., with the Rev. Father John A. Sedlak as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
A Parish Vigil service will be held in the funeral home at 3:30 p.m., today.
