North Union Twp. Window shattered
Marlene Ann Bandzuch, 49, of Bute Road, told state police that someone shattered the rear window of her car between July 23 and 24.

Accident reported
State police reported that vehicles driven by Michele Davis of Carmichaels and Wilbur Crispin of Scenery Hill, collided as they were traveling on Route 40 on Thursday. Crispin and his passenger, Joyce Hillsman, were injured and taken to Washington and Cannonsburg hospitals.

Crash reported
State police said that an unknown driver struck the vehicle of Daniel Kowallzyk of Uniontown as he was traveling on New Salem Road Wednesday. The driver fled from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Boat recovered
State police reported that a stolen Monterey boat was recovered on the Monongahela River on July 21. The boat had been stolen from James Woleslagle of Uniontown while it was at the Greene Cove Marina in Fredericktown.

Fire reported
The American Red Cross provided food and clothing to three people whose home was severely damaged in a fire Thursday around 4 p.m. on Eaton Run Road in Jefferson, according to agency volunteer Becky Abrams. Dwayne Walters of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department said the fire that damaged the home of Norman Rockwell appeared to be caused by electrical problems and was most likely accidental, but Fire Marshal Trevor Jones is still investigating.

Theft arrest
Randy Wade Dimpfl, 35, of Baltimore, Md., was charged with attempted retail theft for allegedly trying to steal $4,414 in merchandise from Wal-Mart at 7 a.m. Thursday, police said.
He was arraigned before Senior Magisterial District Judge Lawrence Blair and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $15,000 straight cash bail. The incident remains under investigation.

Theft reported
Joel Sabbrese, 53, of 419 Green St., told Brownsville police that someone took a black and green snow blower from his property sometime between Monday and Thursday. The incident was reported Thursday at 11:57 a.m. The snow blower is valued at $459. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brownsville police.

Southwest Regional police picked up Lennie Anderson Jr., 22, of Monessen on a warrant out of Westmoreland County following a traffic stop Wednesday in Belle Vernon.

Bikes stolen
Three bicycles were reported stolen from the backyard of 315 High St., Brownsville. The incident was reported Thursday at 12:05 p.m. and is believed to have occurred overnight. Missing are a red and black, 20-inch Mongoose, a red, five-speed Vortex mountain bike and a red, 16-inch Huffy bike.

State police said that on Monday a stolen mountain bike belonging to George Jacob Miller of Melcroft was found at 1360 Indian Creek Valley Road.

Crash reported
State police reported that vehicles driven by Daniel G. Adams and Sue A. Hilliard, no addresses listed, collided as they were traveling on Route 281 near Markleysburg. No injuries were reported.

Man struck
State police said William Walter Hrach of Belle Vernon suffered a minor injury when an object thrown into his vehicle through an open window hit him in the face Wednesday at 10:20 p.m. on Route 119 south near Sheetz. Two other objects hit the left side of his vehicle, police said.

Tires slashed
City police said tires on 12 vehicles were found slashed Thursday night and Friday morning on Madison Avenue, Cleveland Avenue, Lincoln Street and Lenox Street.

Man cited
Frank Campbell, 48, homeless, was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct for allegedly harassing customers at Yum Yum Bagels on Morgantown Street at 7 a.m. Thursday, city police said.

Woman arrested
Marcia A. Kersten, 24, of Uniontown was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order by allegedly hitting Daniel L. Evans, 27, of Uniontown in the head while he was driving on Connellsville street Wednesday at 3:40 p.m., state police said. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Robert Breakiron and placed in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 percentage bail.

State police said five 8-inch-diameter steel trench box spreaders measuring 2 and 4 feet in length and owned by Maust Excavation of Somerset were stolen from a construction site along Youngstown Road near Percy Lane between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

City police said Edward Russman Jr. reported that syrup was poured into his car’s gas tank late Wednesday or early Thursday at his 203 Coolspring St. residence.

City police said a windshield on a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was reported broken with a billiard ball Thursday at 10 a.m. at Region Buick on East Fayette Street.
