United Way honors Wallace

1 min read

The United Way of South Fayette, Inc. recently honored Thomas W. Wallace for over 40 years of service to the organization. Wallace served in a variety of positions with the United Way including president, treasurer and campaign chairman of the agency’s annual drive. He has also served on various committees including many years on the allocations committee.

Wallace retired from Metzler’s Department Store where he was employed for 31 years as a buyer for the men’s department and later as buyer for women’s fashions/accessories.

Marlene K. Baker, executive director of the United Way, presented Wallace with a token of appreciation for his many years of service.

“Mr. Wallace has always been very supportive of the organization and its mission. Even after his retirement, he has continued to be involved with our United Way in many ways, and we wanted to show him our appreciation,” said Baker.
