Ruth Adaline Baker Bailey, 84, of Fairchance, Pa., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born May 24, 1921, in Scottdale, Pa., daughter of the late Harry Baker and Ruth Davis Baker.

Adaline was a pianist and organist for many years for churches in the area, which included Trinity Methodist of Fairchance, Calvary Methodist of Uniontown, First Baptist Church of Point Marion, and First Baptist Church of Fairchance.

She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown.

Adaline was a licensed insurance agent and co-owner and operator of Bailey Insurance Agency of Fairchance.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Warren S. Bailey; children, Warren S. Bailey Jr., and wife, Edna of Columbus, Ohio, Harry James Bailey and wife, Stephanie of Williamstown, N.J., and Alan Bailey and wife, Jackie of Smithfield, Pa.; six grandchildren, Kimberly Jacobs and husband, Dr. Jim Jacobs, the Rev. Leonard Bailey and wife, Amy Bailey, Jennifer Taft and husband, Matt Taft, Warren S. Bailey III and wife, Jamie Bailey, Naval Lieutenant Christopher Bailey and wife, Janine Bailey and Shannon Bailey; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry F. Baker and wife, Shirley of Mahaffey, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, June 3, 2005, until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
