John Edward Zaiglin
John Edward Zaiglin, 89, of 6 Unity Ave., Masontown, Pa., died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at 1:10 p.m., in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Searights, Pa., son of the late John and Catherine (Gaczulak) Zaiglin.
John was the owner and operator of Zaiglin’s Radio & Electric Service, Main Street, Masontown, Pa., and a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church of Masontown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia Rose (Michalik) Zaiglin, whom he married on Nov. 14, 1939, and who died on May 14, 1990.
Surviving are three sons, Richard and wife, Elizabeth Zaiglin of Masontown, Robert and wife, Jan Zaiglin of Uvalde, Texas, and Paul Zaiglin of Masontown, Pa.; a daughter, Carol and husband, Tony Casini of Masontown, Pa.; a grandson, A. J. Casini; three granddaughters, Michelle Casini, Bethany Zaiglin and Nan Zaiglin; and a nephew, Frank and wife, Priscilla Michalik of Carmichaels, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR., FUNERAL HOME, Corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints R.C. Church, Masontown, Pa., at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
