Smithfield Elmer Carl “Buzz” Grimm, age 71 of Smithfield, Pa., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at his home.

He was born August 12, 1933, the son of Samuel Carl and Dora May Springer Grimm.

He was employed with the United States Government in Adah, Pa., was Protestant by faith, and was a member of the Masontown Fish and Game Club, Leckrone Rod and Gun Club, 40 and 8 Vorger. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His love was farming and horses.

Surviving are his wife Helen Burgess Grimm, son Elmer Carl and wife Mary Grimm of Smithfield, Pa., daughter Patty Bowers, Fairchance, Pa., Daughter Helen Marie Metcalf, Uniontown, Pa., Daughter Carol Watson, Hopwood, Pa., Sister Janett Kulich, Hopwood, Pa., Sister Lauretta Moon, Smithfield, Pa., brother Donald Grimm, St. Petersburg, Florida, daughter Alexander Walls, Carmichaels, Pa., son, Devin Walls, Carmichales, Pa., Daughter Julie Leach, Masontown, Pa., son Michael Crosby Masontown, Pa., and special companion Judy Ann Mc Donald Smithfield, Pa., 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and a son John Grimm.

Arrangements are under the direction of the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR., FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, Pa.

Visitation on Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday June 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Robert Ellenberger officiating.
