PITTSBURGH – Two Uniontown residents were indicted in federal court Wednesday on charges of violating federal drug laws, according to U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan. James Mullen, 43, of 63 Nutt Ave, and Jeffery Mullen, 40, of 47 Charles St. were both named in the six-count indictment that alleged the Mullens conspired to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and possessed with the intent to distribute the drug.

The law provides for a maximum of 100 years imprisonment and $5 million in fines for Jeffery Mullen and 60 years in prison and $3 million in fines for James Mullen.

The attorney’s office said the federal sentencing guidelines provide a basis for the possible sentence, but the sentence imposed will be based on the seriousness of the charge and prior offenses.
