Charles J. Kalonsky
Charles J. Kalonsky, 77, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday, June 12, 2005, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Edenborn, Pa., son of the late Fred Sr., and Mary C. Schifko Kolonsky.
Charles was retired from U.S. Steel at the Maple Creek Mine, a member of UMWA, District 2, Local 1248, a self-employed farmer and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his brothers, Frank Kolonsky and his wife, Frances and Fred Kolonsky and his wife, Wanda, all of Uniontown; a sister, Betty Miller and her husband, George of Union Grove, Ala.; his beloved and cherished nieces and nephews, David Kolonsky and his wife, Judith of Uppermiddletown, Kristy Anderson and her husband, Dennis of West Newton, Eric Miller and his wife, Cheryl of Chicago, Ill, Craig Miller and his wife, Lynn of Corning, N.Y., and Lisa Carlot and her husband, Jeff of Cypress, Texas; 12 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; and one great-great nephew; a dear Aunt, Helen Pezar Boskovich of New Salem; and his special pets, Andy and Fritz.
At his request, funeral services will be private with the Rev. Paul N. Frank Jr., officiating. Interment will be at Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
