Phyllis Bell Genovese Woodward

Phyllis Bell Genovese Woodward, age 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully into the arms of our Savior Jesus on Saturday, June 11, 2005, from Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born December 20, 1921, daughter of Bennett Carlisle Bell and Gertrude Cox Bell of Scottdale, Pa.

Phyllis was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Uniontown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband and father to her children, Theodore R. Genovese, her second husband, Nathan Woodward, and her brother, William Bell.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Theodore Genovese II and his wife, Sharon, of Chalk Hill, Pa., Maureen Bealko and her husband, Benny, and Lawrence Genovese and his wife, Terry, all of Uniontown; stepchildren: Patricia Hauger of Hopwood, Pa., and Robert Genovese of Hopwood, Pa.

She will also be sadly missed by two sisters: Marylou Fisher (who was her best friend) and her husband, Lew, of Farmington, Pa., and Margie Wandell of Uniontown.

Memories of their “NeNe” will be cherished by grandchildren: Laura Guthrie and her husband, Sean, of Uniontown, Alexander Genovese and his wife, Jennifer, of Chalk Hill, Michael “Chizzy” Genovese of Uniontown, Vincent Genovese and his wife, Lisa, of Chalk Hill and Rachael Bealko and her fianc?, John Fritts, of Uniontown; three greet granddaughters: Gabby Guthrie and Gracie Guthrie and Brenna Genovese; also many special nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 15, from 9 until 10 a.m. the hour of Service with the Rev. Don Immel officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

Phyllis’ life is summed up as this: “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her; Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31 28-30.
