Leona F. Livingston

Leona Frances Livingston, 84, of Cheswick (formerly of Uniontown), passed away peacefully at Amber Woods at Harmar Village, Harmar Township, on Wednesday, June 15, 2005. She was born April 26, 1921, in Uniontown. She had lived in Indianola 26 years before returning to Uniontown.

Mrs. Livingston worked several years during the Korean War Conflict for Scaife Company, as a machine operator. She also worked for Lakewood Memorial Gardens during its early building years.

She was a Sunday School Teacher in Uniontown, and worked at the Fayette County Fair as a Judge.

She is a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Trinity United Church of Christ, Dorseyville.

She is survived by her three children, Robert (Virginia) Livingston of Belton, Texas, Barbara Ometz of Indianola, and James (Maureen) Livingston of Natrona Heights; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Elaine) Herbert of Uniontown; and a sister, Sara Herbert Stephens of Lemont Furnace, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Livingston – 1997; her parents, Earl Herbert in 1958, and Sara Lilley Herbert in 1981; five brothers, Robert, Earl Jr., Charles, Melvin and James Herbert; and three sisters, Viola Jean Fiffik, Wilda Weaver and Evelyn Tesauro..
