Margaret A. Boka Balla
Margaret A. Boka Balla, age 67, of Brownsville (Centerville Borough), Pa., died Saturday, June 18, 2005, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township, following a lengthy illness. She was born April 29, 1938, in Daisytown, Pa., the daughter Joseph Boka and Veronica Kushner Boka.
Mrs. Balla was a 1956 graduate of California High School, California, Pa., and had been employed by the Beth-Center School District for 31 years (working from 1967 to 1998).
She was a member of Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Daisytown, Pa.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, picnics and spending time with her grandchildren.
On May 9, 1959, she married Ronald A. Balla Sr., who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Ronald A. Balla Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Brownsville, Pa., and Walter “Wally” Balla and his wife, Diana, of Daisytown, Pa.; one sister, Marcella Fowkes of Brownsville, Pa.; and four Grandchildren: Walter Balla Jr., Nicholas Balla, Monica Lynn Balla and Aaron Balla.
Deceased are her parents and a brother, Stephen Boka.
Friends will be received today in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street (Route 40), Beallsville, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where family and friends will gather Tuesday, June 21, at 9:30 a.m. to proceed to Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Richeyville, Pa., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Father John Forbidussi as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Westland Cemetery, Brownsville (Centerville Borough), Pa.
