Walter Irvin Moore
Walter Irvin Moore of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
He was born July 29, 1927, in New Salem, Pa., son of Walter I. Moore Sr. and Lillian Cooley Moore.
Irvin was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown, a retired Hydraulic Mechanic from Equipco Sales and Service Corporation in Bridgeville, Pa., and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Thelma Moore Deal.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Barnes Moore; children: Donna Linderman of Uniontown, Pa., and Richard Moore and his wife, Mona, of Williamstown, West Virginia; brothers and sisters: Frank Oliver Moore of Willowick, Ohio, Mildred Whitlock and her husband, Ray, of Uniontown, Pa., Marge Whetzel and her husband, DeWayne, of Jefferson, Pa., and Edna Randolph of Upper Middletown, Pa.; grandchildren: Randy Linderman, Rachel Linderman, Christa Karem, Ashley Linderman, Sara Linderman, Doug Moore and Laura Moore; and six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 21, until 1:30 p.m., the hour of Service with Pastor William Rodahaver officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., where Military Rites will be accorded by New Salem American Legion Post 753.
