Boy critical
State police said 12-year-old Jessie VanSickle of Acme is in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in critical condition after he was run over by a loaded hay wagon Sunday. Police said VanSickle and Jessie Eutsey, 12, also of Acme were riding in the bed of a farm vehicle, which was pulling the wagon, driven by Beverly Eutsey of Stahlstown. They were traveling north on South Bend Road at 3:40 p.m. when VanSickle reached up and grabbed tree branch. He didn’t let go of the branch and it yanked him out of the bed. He landed between the truck and the wagon and was run over by the front wagon wheel. Beverly Eutsey stopped before the rear wagon wheel reached the boy. Police said passengers are permitted in the beds of farm vehicles while they are being used for farm business and the driver was not at fault.

Driver hurt
An unidentified driver of a 1994 Ford truck bearing Pennsylvania registration YPK-3752 was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with injuries after his truck skidded off Route 201 near Adelaide, went through a three-wire fence and a gate and into a creek Sunday at 7:25 p.m., state police said. The driver was transported before police arrived.

Man arrested
Richard Jason Palo, 21, of 33 Summit Ave. was charged with interfering with child custody and corruption of minors Monday at 1:30 a.m. after he was allegedly found in his residence with a 17-year-old girl who he was not permitted to contact under a court order, city police said.

Assault investigation
State police are investigating an allegation that a 19-year-old male from Hunker may have sexually assaulted a 15-year-old Ruffsdale girl early Saturday. She was reported as a runaway Friday, but was returned to her mother, police said.

Theft from vehicle
Someone stole three rolls of 35 mm film, a suitcase containing clothes, two bankbooks, lottery tickets and cigarettes from an unlocked car owned by Gregg M. Lucas, 45, outside of his Mill Street home Saturday morning, state police said.

Someone stole 30 compact discs, eyeglasses, drum sticks and a Motorola cell phone from a backpack owned by Delbert J. Timms, 15, of Mount Pleasant from his camp site at River’s Edge Campground Sunday, state police said.

Burglary charged
Ronald L. Smith Jr. of Smithfield was charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass for allegedly breaking into Robert Lavitsky’s trailer in the Jarrett Trailer Park Friday at 10:30 p.m. and stealing a microwave oven, box fan, coffee pot and other property, state police said.

Accident investigation
State police said Russell D. Marks II of Pittsburgh got his vehicle stuck on a curb in Hardee’s restaurant parking lot Sunday at 2:22 a.m. The accident is under investigation.

Charges filed
Indecent exposure and public drunkenness charges were filed against Abraham David Welty, 32, of Broad Street, Kingview, for allegedly exposing himself to Thelma Faye Russell, 81, and Kimberly Jean Able, 37, both of Broad Street in Kingview, Friday at 7 p.m. at Russell’s residence, state police said. The charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Michael Rubish’s office.

Pedestrian struck
State police said Ricky Rice of Ruffsdale suffered minor injuries when a vehicle hit him while he was walking on Church Street near Railroad Street Friday at 12:02 a.m. The vehicle fled.

Theft
According to Southwest Regional police, someone broke into the Pepsi machine in front of the Newell Borough Building and stole an unknown amount of money and soda. Witnesses described the suspects as two to three individuals in their late teens to early 20s, wearing dark clothing. The incident was reported Sunday at 11:15 p.m.

Warrant arrest
A traffic stop by Brownsville police June 17 turned into a warrant arrest when the officer learned that there was a bench warrant for Brian Fisher, 36, of Labelle. The warrant was issued by the Fayette County Court in connection with Domestic Relations matters.

Theft arrest
Brownsville police arrested Chris Michaux, 45, of Brownsville after learning he was wanted by the Pennsylvania State Police for theft. Michaux was found at South Hills Terrace at 5:35 a.m. June 18.

Forgery warrant
Brownsville police, with the help of Washington Township police, arrested John Paul Glover II, 23, at 46 Marion Villa on a warrant for forgery. The arrest was made June 18 at 6:42 p.m. Glover was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Herb Mitchell, who set bail at $15,000 cash.

Attempted break-in
Brandi Smith told Brownsville police that someone tried to break into her home at 120 Prospect St. while she was out. The incident was reported at 11:06 p.m. June 18. The front door lock was damaged and there were pry marks on the front door.

Assault
Damone Michaux told Brownsville police that someone assaulted him at the Elks Club on Brown Street. The incident was reported June 19 at 3:33 a.m. Michaux was taken to Brownsville General Hospital for treatment.

Two cited
Brownsville police cited both the driver and the passenger during a traffic stop on Third Street in Hiller Sunday at 3:38 a.m. after the vehicle had exited Patsy Hillman Park.
The driver, Shawn Geletei, 33, of California was cited for driving while under suspension and for driving under the influence. The passenger, Jay L. McVicker, 38, of Hunters Ridge was picked up on a warrant from Washington County Domestic Relations.

A Hi Pont Model C9 9mm black gun with red sights was taken from a home on Howard Street. The gun has the serial number P1222590. The theft was reported June 19 at 12:14 a.m. According to Brownsville police, a juvenile is suspected in the case.
