Mildred “Mickey” Gresko

Mildred “Mickey” Gresko, 80, of Greensboro R.D., Pa., and formerly of Newtown, Pa., died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Born in Martin, Pa., on May 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Kate Kostanoski Silak.

She was a 1943 graduate of Point Marion High School, a member of the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church, and had formerly worked as a beautician at Loretta’s Beauty Shop in Morgantown.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Denise) Burns and Tina Gresko, both of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Todd Burns of Greensboro and Melanie Dame of Morgantown; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian Moreland of Lake Lynn, and Phyllis Hootman of Kimboltown, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alex Gresko in 1985; a son, Greg Gresko in 1975; and by six brothers in infancy.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday in the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of the service, with Pastors George and Ginny Eberhart officiating. Interment in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
