Michael S. Marinch Jr.
Michael S. Marinch Jr., age 91, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Thursday, March 3, 2005, in Euclid Hospital, Euclid, Ohio.
He was born September 3, 1913, in Gates, Fayette County, Pa., son of Michael S. Marinch Sr. and Anna Yorkish Marinch.
Michael graduated from the now former German Township High School in McClellandtown, Pa., and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II who served in Hawaii and in the South Pacific.
He was a retired coal miner from United States Steel’s Robena Mine and a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 6321.
He was also a member of Saint Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels and the S.N.P.J. Lodge.
His wife, Elizabeth Bodis Marinch, died in 1999. Also deceased are his parents and two sisters, Anna Lesko and Janet Klarlige.
He is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Mary Domovich of Lancaster, Pa., Frances Nowak of Garfield Heights, Ohio, Gertrude Nosan of Cleveland, Oho, Albert Marinch and his wife, Grace, of Willowick, Ohio, and Rudy Marinch and his wife, Mildred, of Warren, Ohio; also many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., Paul M. Lesako, Supervisor, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in Saint Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels, with the Rev. Father John Bauer as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Connellsville, Pa.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3 p.m.
