Gaynell H. White George, age 87, of Brownsville, Pa., died Friday, March 4, 2005.

She was born June 3, 1917, in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of James White and Virginia (Martin) White.

Gaynell was a member of the United Methodist Church in California, Pa.

She was retired from the Bethel Park School District where she had worked in the cafeteria.

Gaynell was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony George on December 29, 1998, a brother, James White of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Barbara and Bill Turner of Brownsville, Pa., Anthony and Cindy Giorgio of Redlands, California, Maria and Nelson Allridge of Keller, Texas, James and Diana George of Avon Lake, Ohio, Thomas George of Boulder, Colorado, and Susan and William Modereger of Alta Loma, California. She is also survived by a sister, Lillian Young; eight grandchildren: Shawn Turner, Sherri Rapsack, Matt Whitt, Hilary George, Casey George, Calli George, Price Modereger and Page Modereger; and three great grandchildren: Haiden Rapsack, Shawn Turner and Kaytlin Turner.

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., today, March 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held in CALIFORNIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 227 Third Street, California, Pa., on Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Cris Decious officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to California United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 426, California, PA 15419.
