Constance (Connie) Gaskin

Constance (Connie) Gaskin, formerly of Brownsville, Pa., and until recently a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2005, at the age of 83. She was born on April 22, 1921. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Connie worked as a saleswoman in Brownsville, for many years. She was baptized into the Catholic Faith as an infant and was a member of St. Peter’s Church for almost all of her adult life. Connie was also a member of The Catholic Daughters and The Rosa Garabaldi Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, and a brother and sister.

She leaves behind her daughter, Louise G. Ferguson of League City, Texas; her son, Dr. Fred Gaskin, LaMirada, Calif.; her son-in-law, Tom Ferguson of League City, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Dr. Shelly Gaskin of LaMirada, Calif.; her granddaughters, Beth Ferguson Strope of Friendswood, Texas, and Erin Ferguson of League City, Texas; her grandson, Jon Gaskin; her grandson-in-law, Shawn Strope of Friendswood, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin and Juliette Strope, all of Friendswood, Texas.

Her friends are invited to share in her Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Louis Cheatham at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2005, at The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville. She will be buried at LaFayette Memorial Park, following the mass. Arrangements are under the direction of THE SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa.
