Stephen W. Kalfut, age 60, of Masontown, Pa., who was born in Sharon, Pa., United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War (rank of Corporal) and employed by Fayette County Head Start in Uniontown, Pa., died at 15 Golden Street, Masontown, Pa., on Saturday evening, March 19, 2005.

He is survived by his children: Stephen W. Kalfut Jr. and his wife, Jenny, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Veronica Kalfut and her special friend, Reed Whoolery, of Smithfield, Pa.; grandchildren: Charles A. Kalfut Jr., Debra Sue Kalfut, Ashley Leadbeater, Anthony Alan Kalfut, Christopher Noah Kalfut and Peninah Kalfut; brothers: Paul Kalfut and his wife, Margie, of Park City, Illinois, and Martin Kalfut and his wife, Cindy, of Masontown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Kalfut of Masontown, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, corner of Church on 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 23, until 9:30 a.m.
