Melvin West, 66, of Clarksville, Pa., formerly of Pittsburgh, Pa., died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, in Lafayette Manor in Uniontown, Pa. He worked for many years as a cook in Fast Food restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth West of Apollo; three sons, Brian and Jeff West of North Carolina, and Tim West of Pittsburgh; a sister, Elizabeth Rehll of Clarksville; and a brother, Carman West of Bethel Park.

At his request, there will be no public viewing. A funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m., in the Frank Burkus Funeral Home, 26 Mill St., Millsboro.
