Todd F. Olinzock

3 min read

Todd F. Olinzock, age 38, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005.

He was born May 3, 1966, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Michael J. and Barbara L. (Hiles) Olinzock.

Todd was a jolly person more often caring about his family and friends than he did for himself. He never had a selfish bone in his body. He was always there to lend a helping hand when one was needed and he never really asked for anything in return.

He lived a very simple life style and had no desire to take vacations or go to fancy places but liked to stay near home. However, he did look forward to going shopping with his sisters when they offered to take him to town.

Todd looked forward to special holidays, like Christmas, when the whole family and close friends would congregate at his house to cook supper and play cards and games. He always complained about the decorating but, just like a child himself, he enjoyed seeing them and handing out the gifts, watching his nephews and nieces laughing and opening their gifts. He loved the little children!

Todd had very few real passions or hobbies. He did look forward to watching football and NASCAR races. His pleasure was being with his friends and, yes, often to drink beer at the local tavern, such as The Pitt Stop, where he will be deeply missed by all there! We want to thank the owners of The Pitt Stop for closing after this tragic event and for their support offered to the family but, most of all, for looking after Todd when he was there. Thanks! He loved all of you!

Todd worked at several jobs in his life but working in the woods and cutting trees is what he was most proficient at and is what he would rather do over any other job! I guess you could say that he was right at home when his time came to leave his family and friends.

All that knew Todd will miss his smiling and jolly face for many years to come.

We love you, Todd, and God Bless you!

Todd was Baptized in the Catholic Church and had attended Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Farmington (Pa.) with his parents while growing up.

He had been employed with Ravenscraft Masonry for several years.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Renee Olinzock.

Olinzock of Markleysburg, Pa., David Olinzock of Markleysburg, Pa., Cindy Meyers and her husband, Walter, of Friendsville, Maryland, and Brenda Frazee and her husband, Donald, of Farmington, Pa.

Friends were received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.
