Community calendar – March 31
CONNELLSVILLE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Greenwood United Methodist Church, corner of West Green and South Ninth Street, Connellsville. A brief business meeting will follow a covered-dish dinner. BPW/PA president, Jean Byers, will report on the state organization and conduct a Mary Kay fundraiser. Reservations must be made by Saturday by calling 724-628-7186. EAST LIBERTY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Main Street, Vanderbilt, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Sunday from noon to 2:30 p.m. Meals are $5 for adults; $3 for children. Take-out orders will be available.
UNIONTOWN SERVICE LEAGUE, 41 W. Main St., Uniontown, has a large selection of hard and soft cover books. Also, a large selection of spring merchandise has arrived and offered at low prices. All proceeds are given to local charities.
BROWNFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Willing Workers Class, will met at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the church social room.
MENALLEN GRANGE will meet at 7 p.m. Friday.
BROWNSVILLE ROTARY CLUB will hold its annual Multiphasic Blood Screening on April 9 at the Hiller Fire Hall. Testing will be done from 7 to 10 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome or appointments may be set up by calling 724-785-1999. Thirty-nine tests are available for $25. Additional tests are also available. A 12-hour fasting period is required.
AMVETS POST 103 Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Nomination and election of officers will be held. Regular meeting will follow. All members are asked to bring a $5 gift for door prize for the card party to be held at 7 p.m. on May 19 at the post home.
