Program for children planned
The Summer Educational Enrichment for Kids (SEEK) program, planned for children in grades 2 through 9 starting this fall, will have two weekly sessions on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania this summer. Conducted through Cal U’s Office of Lifelong Learning, SEEK will have sessions from July 11 through 15, and Aug. 1 through 5.
SEEK is an academic enrichment program for school age children. Students will participate in learning experiences that are entertaining, yet academically challenging. Classes run from 8:30 to 10 a.m., 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.; 12:45 to 2:15 p.m.; and 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Participants are escorted between classes and supervised during lunch. Children will need to bring a bag lunch, and refrigeration is not available.
Classes cover a wide variety of topics including mathematics, golf, science, ecology, scenic watercolor painting, screen printing, fun with computers, designing Web pages, martial arts, exploring international countries and cultures, criminal investigating, photography, astronomy, pottery, bird watching, and more.
The fee for the full-day week of either session is $125 per child and $80 for the half-day program.
Registration is held on a first come, first served basis and once registered, participants will receive a confirmation letter, which lists the classroom location. This letter must be presented on the first day of class.

Payment must accompany the registration form.
