Margaret L. Baker
Margaret L. Baker, 87, died October 31, 2005, in Rockville, Md. She was born May 3, 1918, in Morgantown, W.Va., the daughter of John M. and Vinnie Waters Thorn.
Margaret and her family lived in Point Marion for many years before moving to Rockville, Md.
Margaret maintained her membership in the Point Marion United Methodist Church and attended the Rockville United Methodist Church.
Margaret is survived by her son, Gordon Baker of Rockville, Md.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Kenneth Baker of Richmond, Va.; three granddaughters: Holly Waddell, Heather Cooke and Hope Baker, all of Richmond, Va.; four great grandchildren: Spencer, Grace Margaret, Paige and Lily; her sister, Mrs. Mary R. Stoops of Portsmouth, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and the following sisters and brothers, Mabel Foley, Maude Thorn, Maxine Thorn, Donald Thorn, John Stanley Thorn and Martha Thorn.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2005, when services will be held in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Karen L. Gray officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pa.
