Donald Ralph Smitley Sr.
Donald Ralph Smitley Sr., 48, of Dunbar, Pa., died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born May 20 1957, in Lansing, Mich., son of Thomas Smitley and Ethel I. Core Smitley.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel I. Core Smitley and brother, Stanley Douglas Smitley Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Smitley of Dunbar, Pa.; his father, Thomas Smitley of Smithfield, Pa.; a son, Donald Ralph Smitley Jr., of Masontown, Pa.; brothers and sister, Thomas E. Smitley and wife, Lynn of Terra Alta, W.Va., Samuel A. Smitley and wife, Darleen of Fairchance, Pa., Robert B. Smitley and wife, Joyce of Oliphant Furnace, Pa., and Sandra K. Smitley Clark and husband, Thomas M. Clark Jr., of Masontown, Pa.; stepchildren, Debra Cook and husband, William of Dunbar, Pa., Susan Huffine and husband, Robert of Travelers Rest, S.C., William Harr and wife, Claudia of South Connellsville, Pa., and Edward Kerr and wife, Sandy of Connellsville, Pa.; and 13 stepchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Lee Roy Edgell officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
