Anna Emma Rura
Anna Emma (Skoda) Rura, 84, of 112 Cobblestone Dr., Greensburg, Pa., formerly of Masontown, Pa., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at 6:05 a.m., in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. She was born in Hover, Pa., on Dec. 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Frank and Lizabeth (Pretner) Skoda.
She was a housewife and belonged to Saint Mary’s R.C. Church of Leckrone, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Joseph and Frank, and sister, Mary Skoda.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean and husband, Philip Polsinelli of Greensburg, Pa.; daughter, Debra and husband Brad Bixler of Freeland, Pa.; three granddaughters, Anna Polsinelli of Greensburg, Elizabeth Polsinelli of Greensburg, and Mary Polsinelli of Greensburg; two grandsons, Eric and wife, Jennifer Bixler of North Pole, Alaska, and Joel Bixler and friend, Rebeca of Ithaca, N.Y.; a great-grandson, Joel Bixler Jr. of Ithaca, N.Y.; and a sister, Genevieve Krcelich of Isabella, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, today, (November 4, 2005), until 10:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Leckrone at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Father Donald P. Trexler as celebrant. Interment will be held at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. Rosary Service was recited at 7 p.m., on Thursday by Saint Mary’s Rosary Society and All Saints Christian Mothers.
