Julia A. Carlier

Julia A. Carlier, 75, a lifelong resident of Point Marion, Pa., died Thursday, November 3, 2005, in her home. Born Feb. 6, 1930 in Springhill Township, she was a daughter of the late Juanita Cornet Robinson and the former Mayor of Point Marion, Thomas Robinson.

She was a 1949 graduate of Point Marion High School. She enjoyed looking after her family and especially taking care of her many dogs over the years. Julia was well known for her skill and love of interior painting and stenciling.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Carlier in 1993, and a son, David B. Carlier in 1996, who also had served as Mayor of Point Marion.

She is survived by two sons: Frank Carlier of Charleston, S.C., and Scott Carlier of Point Marion; two sisters: Ida Mae Graham of Point Marion, and Mrs. Robert “Bud” (Patty) Yednock of Myersdale, Pa.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 11 a.m. the hour of funeral services. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
