Robert Raphael Kolencik
Robert Raphael Kolencik, 65, went peacefully into the Lord’s hands on November 3, 2005, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born to John S. Kolencik and Julia Lassak in New Salem, Pa., on February 23, 1930.
On February 22, 1955, he married Margaret Hasna at Parks Air Force Base in Calif.
He retired on March 31, 1977, from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant.
He worked for the UTA from August 11, 1978 until retiring on September 1, 1992. He later retired from the Salt Lake Airport Authority.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Frank, sister, Eleanor Kolencik and daughter-in-law, Melissa.
Surviving are his loving wife, Margaret, son, RJ, daughter, Tonia, brother, Rudolph Kolencik of Perryopolis, Pa., and grandchildren: Megan, Tommy, Ryan and Kendall.
Friends will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. in the NEIL O’DONNELL & SONS MORTUARY, 372, EAST 100 SOUTH, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH 84111 (810) 363-6641, on Monday, November 7, 2005, where a Vigil Service will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Committal will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th & T Street, Salt Lake City.
