School evacuated Connellsville Area School District security officers are investigating an alleged bomb threat Wednesday at the district’s senior high school.
Charles Matthews, chief of security, said Thursday that a student reportedly found a handwritten statement on a restroom wall that said an explosive was in the building.
When administrators were advised of the incident, a fire drill was activated and the building searched, said Matthews.
No devise was found.

Gun stolen
State police said a .44-caliber Smith and Wesson model 629 revolver and a Sentry safe containing personal papers were stolen from Lloyd Kenneth Baer’s West First Street home in Grindstone between 3 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Sunday.

Warrant arrest
Terrell Poole, 30, of 48 Collins Ave., Uniontown was arrested on felony warrant from state police at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday, city police said. Police said he was seen driving in Pershing Court and was arrested after he was pulled over.

Juveniles arrested
Two juveniles, ages 17 and 16, were arrested for allegedly stealing two vehicles from Sheila Garetson’s West Waynesburg home at 3 a.m. Sunday, state police said. The vehicles were seen traveling north on Interstate 79 north of Ruff Creek and sped up to elude police, police said. The 16-year-old pulled over first and was arrested. The 17-year-old took no action to avoid hitting a police car and hit it, police said. No injuries were reported. The juveniles face charges of theft of a motor vehicle, criminal conspiracy, fleeing police, aggravated assault on a police officer and criminal mischief.

Charges pending
State police said charges are pending against a 34-year-old Waynesburg women for allegedly furnishing alcohol to two male juveniles. Police said they stopped to assist a disabled vehicle on Route 21 on Sunday. A juvenile inside had been drinking and a bottle of liquor was sticking out from under his seat, police said.
The woman was in the back seat and she also had a bottle of under her seat, police said. One of the juveniles said he got the bottle from her and that he was drinking at her home, police said.
He was cited with underage drinking and the other juvenile was cited with driving after hours with a junior license, police said.

Burglary arrest
Elizabeth Walls of Spraggs was charged with allegedly stealing a TV from Randy Yoder’s home on Rush Run Road between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 3, state police said. She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Lou Dayich and placed in the Greene County Prison.

State police said a 19-year-old Carmichaels girl will be cited with several motor vehicle code violations after she fell asleep while driving and her car hit a utility pole on Route 18 just south of Johnson Road at 3:45 a.m. Sunday. She was not wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. Her car was severely damaged.

Dayne Nicole McMaster, 28, of Brownsville was cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly shouting obscenities on Simpson Road near Tara Hospital at Brownsville at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Michael M. Rodriguez, 18, of 987 Thompson Ave., Donora, was cited with public drunkenness for allegedly staggering on Markle Street at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Hit-and-run accident
State police said a car struck and caused minor damage to a mini-van parked on Second Street in Royal at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday and fled. The car might have been a back Ford Focus or a Volkswagen Jetta, according to police.

Woman charged
City police said Marissa Rivera, 36, of 33 Pershing Court, was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment after she allegedly cut Valerie Johnston’s of Farmington face with a steak knife at 1:53 a.m. Sunday in Rivera’s apartment. Police said Johnston suffered scratches one her face and neck when she and another female tackled Rivera to the floor.

Home vandalized
A vacant home on Club York Road owned by David C. Dickerson of Uniontown was entered and vandalized Friday or Saturday, state police said. Some walls in the kitchen and bathroom, living room and bedroom windows and the front door were damaged.
Police said whoever did it was drinking inside the residence.
