Michael J. Holbert
Michael James Holbert, 28, and his wife, Amy Michelle Holbert, 30, of Evansville, Ind., died tragically Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, as the result of a tornado that hit their community. Michael was a 1995 graduate of Mapletown High School, and was currently employed as a hoist operator for Frontier-Kemper Drilling Company. Previously he had worked for Yost Drilling of Mount Morris, Zeni Drilling and Neumont Gold Mine in Carlin, Nev.
In addition to two children, Rene and Cal Bingman, Michael is survived by his parents, Linda Wilkins Huggins and Bob Huggins of Davistown, Pa., and James Holbert Jr., and Connie Fisher of Dilliner, Pa.; a sister, Michelle Hurley and her husband, Richard and their son, Alan, all of Davistown; stepbrothers, Jerry and Daniel Fisher; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Michael is also survived by her grandparents, Kenneth and Leen Dingman and Lorrine Caulkin, all of Carmichaels.
Friends of Michael’s will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be offered for the care of Michael and Michelle’s children, c/o Linda Huggins, 373 Roberts Run Rd., Mount Morris, PA 15349.
