Thomas J. Sturgeon

Thomas J. Sturgeon, 74, of Belle Vernon, Pa., (Rostraver Township), died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at Jefferson Regional Health System, Jefferson Borough. Born Nov. 10, 1930, in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of the late George and Grace Beranek Sturgeon.

Mr. Sturgeon was a resident of Rostraver Township for the past 13 years, member of the Christ Lutheran Church of West Newton, and was retired from the sales department of North American Phillips Corporation.

He was a veteran of the Koran Conflict where he served in the U.S. Army.

He was also a member of the Wilson-Joppa Lodge No. 714 F&AM, Uniontown, American Legion and the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory-Scottish Rite Masons of Pittsburgh.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen Sturgeon of Mount Lebanon, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Gombar Sturgeon on Dec. 23, 2003, and a sister, Marion S. Hartman Schuerr..
