Pearl E. Shaffer, 70, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 3:35 a.m., on Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare, Waynesburg, Pa.

Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker. On May 15, 1954, she married Merle L. Shaffer, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Merle E. Shaffer and his wife, Gretchen of Elizabeth, Pa., Lloyd R. Shaffer and his wife, Annetta of Carmichaels, and Ricky L. Shaffer and his wife, Joy of Adah, Pa.; two daughters, Darlene F. Shaffer Phillips and her husband, Dave of Mount Morris, Pa., and Vicky L. Shaffer McCann of Sterling, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Clark and Ralph Clark, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m., on Saturday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. (724-966-5500), the hour of service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 20 Highland Park Dr., Uniontown, PA 15401.
