Charles R. Kral Sr.
Charles R. “Chuck” Kral Sr., age 89, of Hopwood, Pa., died Friday, November 11, 2005, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 26, 1916, in Continental Two, Uniontown, Pa., the son of Ladislaw Kral and Kathryn (Kozak) Kral.
He proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.
“Chuck” was a manager at Hite’s Drug Store in Pittsburgh (Pa.) for many years.
For the past eight years he was a golf ranger at Nemacolin Woodlands.
He was “The Greatest” husband and father and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 48 years, Thelma K. (Medwith) Kral, and nine brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are are: his wife of 16 years, Margaret G. (Snyder) Kral; four children: Charles R. Kral Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Bethel Park, Pa., Mary Ann Hall and her husband, David, of South Park, Pa., Charlotte Saylor and her husband, Arthur, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Sandra Lee Brunton and her husband, Michael, of Uniontown, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Hall and his wife Jill, Brian Kral and his fianc?e Aimee, Renee Hall, Kristine Powell, Kimberly Saylor, Denise Saylor and Dr. Lance Brunton and his wife Robin; two great grandchildren: Alison Hall and Patrick Hall; a sister, Elsie McKnight and her husband, John, of Uniontown, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved poodle, Cheri.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, November 14, until 11 a.m. when a Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Timothy McConville officiating.
Military Honors will follow and will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood. Pa.
Private interment services will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery, McMurray, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Albert Gallatin Hospice, 20 Highland Park Drive, Uniontown, PA 15401.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
