PennDOT announces weekly work plan
William J. Monstrola, Fayette County acting maintenance manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plan for the week beginning Monday. ??Stream channel cleaning is planned for the bridge on state Route 4006, New Salem Road, at Fairbank intersection and state Route 4004, Hibbs Road.
? Signs will be updated and downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout Fayette County.
? Shoulder repair work is scheduled for state Route 4013, Strong Road.
? Patching is planned for state Route 1054, Indianhead Road; and state Route 2001, Skyline Drive.
? Shoulder cutting operation is scheduled for state Route 3025, Smithfield-Highhouse Road; and the Route 40/119 Uniontown bypass.
? Pipe flushing and ditch channel cleaning is planned for state Route 166; state Route 4003, Brownsville Road; state Route 1009, Bear Rocks Road; state Route 1054, Indianhead Road; and state Route 3009, Walnut Hill Road.
? Rock lining of ditches is planned for state Route 1054, Indianhead Road; and state Route 1009, Bear Rocks Road.
? Pipe extension work is planned for state Route 2003, Wharton Furnace Road; and state Route 2011, Dinner Bell-Five Forks Road.
? Crack sealing is scheduled for state Route 119 northbound from the Everson exit to the county line and state Route 711, Springfield Pike.
All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
