Leroy F. Sutton
LeRoy F. Sutton, 90, of Port Vue, died November 13, 2005, at home. Born December 31, 1914, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late Ray F. and Margaret (Stacher) Sutton and the husband of the late Anna G. (Gough) Sutton.
Mr. Sutton retired from the Daily News in Dec. 1979, and was a former employee of the Brownsville Telegraph and Uniontown Herald. He was a member of West Side United Methodist Church. Mr. Sutton was in the Air Force during WW II serving in Italy, Corsica and France. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Elks Club #11, American Legion in McKeesport, National AARP, and former member of McKeesport Elks 136.
He is survived by son, David (Sherry) of Clairton; brother, Paul (Virginia) Sutton of Buffalo, N.Y.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Neal Ray, four sisters and six brothers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIG FUNERAL HOME & CREAMATION SERVICES. A funeral service will be held today, at 10 a.m. in the Willig Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Walker officiating. Interment followed in Jefferson Memorial Park.
