Nan E. Boyd Martz
Nan E. Boyd Martz, 81, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, in her home. She was born March 31, 1924, in High House, Pa., the daughter of the late Andrew Boyd and Nannie Franks Boyd.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph L. “Dutch” Martz, a sister, Ora Kate Boyd and brothers: Ronald Boyd and Armand Boyd.
Nan was a member of the Great Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving children: Montie B. Martz and wife, Anna of Michigan, Reginald Martz and wife, Jean of Elyria, Ohio and Robin Gonzalez and husband, Max of Garden Grove, Calif.; grandchildren: Tammie Gabel, Jeff Martz, Ralph Martz and Ralph E. Martz; five great grandchildren; brothers: Andrew Boyd of Uniontown, Robert Boyd and wife, Desiree of Fairfield, Pa.; sisters: Louise Santore of Uniontown, Gladys Pluto and husband, Edward of Uniontown, Alice Hudock of Uniontown and Connie Gresham of Uniontown; many loving nieces and nephews. Two very special friends: Loretta Baker of Uniontown and Faye Davis of Ohio.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III, FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, PA, on Friday, November 18, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday morning until 10 a.m. the Hour of Service with the Rev. James Seefried, Sr. officiating. Interment is private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or you may plant a tree of your choice and place in Nan’s memory.
