Results from recent livestock auctions and crop sales in the region were as follows: The Pennsylvania Livestock Market Report for Waynesburg for Thursday, Nov. 17, is as follows:

CATTLE:

STOCK COWS: 45 TO 66.

SLAUGHTER COWS: Utility and Commercial 47 to 53.50, Boner and Boning Utility 45 to 49.50, Cutter and Boning Utility 37 to 49.50, Canner and Low Cutter 37 to 44, Shells 37 down.

BULLS: Yield Grade 1 1500-2000 pounds 45 to 58.50. Yield Grade 2 1000-1400 pounds 52-68.

FEEDER STEERS: M and L 1 300-500 pounds 80 to 132, 250-280 pounds 80 to 140, 600-900 pounds 75 to 100.

HEIFERS M 1&L 1 300-500 pounds 90 to 122, L 1 400-650 pounds 75 to 128; BULLS M & L 1 300-620 pounds 77 to 119.

CALVES: Veal…Prime 70-118, Choice 60-84, Good 40-84.

FARM CALVES No. 1 Holstein bulls 90-120 pounds Few 35 to 135 No 2 80-100 pounds Few 25 to 50. Beef – Bulls and Heifers/head 35 to 110.

HOGS: Barrows and Gilts 1-2 210-255 pounds 42 to 56, 2-3 255-280 pounds 40 to 48.50.

FEEDER PIGS 1-3 15-20 pounds 34 to 41/Hd, 1-3 25-35 pounds 10 to 33 head.

Eighty Four Livestock Auction held in Eighty Four on Monday, Nov. 14 results were as follows:

CATTLE: 490PDA)…Compared with last week’s sale; sl. cows steady to 1.5 higher, bulls were steady to 1.50 higher.

STEERS: Choice 1-2 63-69.

HOLSTEIN STEERS: Select 1-2 couple 68 & 71.50. Standard 1-2 51.50-61.

COWS: Breakers 75-80 percent lean 46.50-52.50. Boners 80-85 percent lean 44-48. Lean 85-90 percent lean 38-44.50. Shells 37.50 and down.

BULLS: Yield Grade 2 1120-1900 pounds 47-55.

FEEDER CATTLE: steers steady.

STEERS: few Medium and Large 1 335-660 pounds 101-125, couple 141. fes Medium and Large 2 335-680 pounds 84-99.

HEIFERS: Medium and Large 1 305-500 pounds 93-108; 515-660 pounds 91-100. Medium and Large 2 335-500 pounds 75-89; 550-865 pounds 71-88.

FARM CALVES: No 1 Holstein Bulls 90-120 pounds 185-250, 80-85 pounds 185-265. No 2 75-115 pounds 130-185; couple No 1 Holstein heifers 85-105 pounds 460-680. No 2 75-135 pounds 175-325. Beef cross bulls and heifers 100-115 pounds 110-195; 145-295 pounds 94-137.50.

HOGS: 9

BARROWS AND GILTS: 45-50 percent lean 215-255 pounds 46.5-48.50.

SOWS: one 1-3 345 pounds 36.5.

BOARS: 640 & 710 pounds 14 & 15.

FEEDER PIGS: No market test.

SHEEP 93: Slaughter lambs were steady.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS: High Choice and Prime 105-128 pounds 101-110, Choice 60-75 pounds 123-134; 80-100 pounds 110-119. Good and Choice 30-70 pounds 105-117.50.

SLAUGHTER SHEEP: 40-48.

Kids: Selection 1 60-80 pounds 85. Selection 2 20-40 pounds 35-45; 40-60 pounds 53-66. Selection 3 60-80 pounds 50-60.

YEARLINGS: Selection 2 one 81.

The Market News Service Grain Market Summary for western Pennsylvania for Monday, Nov. 14, follows:

Corn number 2, 1.65 to 2.10; average 1.86; wheat number 2, 2.67 to 3.10, average 2.84; barley number 3, 1.75, average 1.75; oats number 2, 1.40 to 1.80, average 1.67; soybeans number two, 5.25 to 5.40, average 5.33; and ear corn, 60, average 60.

The Hay Market Summary for Friday, Nov. 12, for central Pennsylvania follows:
