Regina Kathryn “Jeannie” Gianini
Regina Kathryn “Jeannie” Gianini, age 63, of Point Marion, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday, November 19, 2005, at her home. Born June 29, 1942, in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Hugo and Theresa (Altomare) Gianini.
A member of the last graduating class of the former Point Marion High School in 1960, she was also a member of Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church and the Point Marion Planning Commission.
Prior to her retirement, she lived and worked in Bethesda, Maryland, for 35 years as an Administrative Assistant to Dr. Steven Rosenberg in the Cancer Research Department of the National Institute of Health.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Shriver of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many loving friends.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 23, until 10:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Saint Hubert Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Joseph L. Sredzinski as Celebrant. Parish Rosary will be recited today at 2:15 p.m., in the funeral home.
Interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
Visitation was also held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
