Guns stolen According to state police, nine guns owned by Barry Pavlicko of Hopwood were stolen from his 25 Nell St. home Friday between 3:30 and 9:30 p.m.

State police said someone driving a red Chevy S-10 struck a vehicle owned by Rudolph Volpe, 47, of Uniontown while it was parked in a lot along North Gallatin Avenue Sunday at 8 p.m.

State police said Jill Richter, 28, of Dunbar and Elizabeth Richter, 47, of Dawson were cited for harassment after the two assaulted each other during an argument Sunday at a residence along Banning Road.

State police said a 56-year-old Uniontown man is suspected of harassing Stacey Hiles, 27, also of Uniontown, during an altercation at a residence along Skyler Drive Sunday at 9 p.m.

Greg Anderson of Hopwood told state police someone stole a Craftsman toolbox from his garage along Route 40 along with a Sirius Satellite Radio Nov. 3 at 7:33 a.m.

Vehicles collide
State police said no one was injured when vehicles operated by Mary Vance of Fairbank and James Brownfield of Uniontown collided along New Salem Road Monday at 1:02 p.m.

Hit-and-run investigated
State police said someone driving a white BMW struck a vehicle operated by Christi Crawford of Belle Vernon in a parking lot along Route 40 Monday at 11:50 a.m. and then fled the scene.

State police at Belle Vernon said cars owned by Thelma Davis of West Brownsville and Kimberly Lacotta of Brownsville were damaged while parked along Jefferson Avenue between Sunday evening and Monday afternoon.

Pistol found
State police at Belle Vernon said a silver and black pistol was found buried in the back yard of a home at 296 Third St. in Allison 1 about 4 p.m. Monday.
Police said the pistol is a Bryco .380-caliber, and the owner needs to present proof of ownership to claim the gun.

Man arrested
State police at Greensburg arrested Donald Phifer, 30, of Connellsville on Monday after he allegedly used an aluminum bat to hit an elderly New Stanton man at an Arona Road home in Westmoreland County.
Phifer hit 75-year-old Harry Pifferetti in the right and left arms with the bat, police said. Phifer was charged with aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and was committed to the Westmoreland County Prison after arraignment, police said.

Man charged
City police charged Edward Duane Lantz Jr. with possession of cocaine and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop Tuesday on Butler Street in Uniontown.
Police said Lantz was driving a white Nissan, and when he was stopped, he told authorities he did not have a valid license.
Police saw a white, plastic bag with a suspected rock of crack inside, and found a pill bottle with suspected marijuana inside the vehicle.
Police also said they found two smoking pipes and another smoking device in the car. Lantz was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and was committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.

City police plan to file citations for driving without insurance and registration against a 20-year-old Uniontown man who was pulled over on East Main Street about 2 p.m. Monday.

Kimberly Joy Ramsey of 27 Nutt Ave. told city police Monday that someone took checks from her home and used them to pay for purchases at the Grindstone Foodland.

City police plan to file citations against a Uniontown man who was driving a car with illegally tinted windows on Coolspring Street in the city about 8 p.m. Monday. Police said the man also will be cited for driving with a suspended license.

State police at Belle Vernon said a man was looking into the windows of a home on Kelley Street, Terrace Acres, about 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

Shot fired
Brownsville police responded to Prospect Street early Tuesday after a resident reported hearing a gunshot at 4:24 a.m.
According to police, a thin black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, was seen in the area with a black gun.
The man was wearing a light blue jeans jacket and dark jeans. Police were unable to locate the suspect and it is unknown where the shot was fired or what, if anything, was struck.

House entered
Fran Dimperio, of 1229 Water St. told Brownsville police that someone entered his house through a basement window and went upstairs. Nothing was reported missing. The incident was reported Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Window broken
According to Brownsville police, the passenger in a car driving on the Spring Street ramp Oct. 22 received minor cuts on her face when something struck the passenger side window, causing it to shatter. The incident occurred around 8:52 p.m. No one was seen in the area.

Southwest Regional Police cited David Scott Hewitt, 34, of 860 Rostraver Road for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief following a domestic disturbance at 118 State St.

Theft reported
Jennifer Mapstone of Clover Street, Brownsville, told borough police that her brother entered her apartment around 7:27 a.m. Friday and removed a pack of cigarettes that contained some money. Police cited Jerry Mapstone, 32, of Brownsville with defiant trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property.
