John Henry Branson
John Henry Branson, age 91, of Farmington, Pa., died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. John resided with his son, Richard Branson and wife, Amy, and granddaughter, Christina.
He was born October 7, 1914, in Hopwood, Pa., the son of Charles A. Branson and Anna Marie (Bell) Branson.
John was a school bus driver for many years in the Uniontown Area School District and loved children of all sizes.
He befriended everyone and was loved by all. He will be sadly missed and loved forever. He also loved to fish all the time.
He was a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army.
John was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Edna P. Sumey Branson, daughter, Anna Mae Deeds, two brothers, Arthur Branson and Adam Branson and two sisters, Blanche Tressler and Elizabeth Early.
Surviving are his children: Mary Anton and husband, Jerry, of Charleroi, Pa., Susan Kooser of Uniontown, Pa., John C. Branson and fianc?e, Tina Davidson, of Uniontown, Mrs. Clara Hall and husband, Paul, of Vanderbilt, Pa., Richard Branson and wife, Amy, of Farmington, Laurel Metts and husband, Robert, of Markleysburg, Pa., and son-in-law, Frank H. Deeds of Willow Springs, North Carolina; 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 26, until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Randy Costolo officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Washington Presbyterian Cemetery, Farmington, Pa., where Military Rites will be accorded at graveside by General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
