Lynwood Miles

Lynwood Miles, 63, of McDaniel’s Patient Care, Clarksville, Pa., formerly of Cardale, Pa., passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born April 28, 1942, in Orient, Pa., son of the late Virginia Miles Oliver and James Oliver of Brownsville.

He was a lifelong resident of Cardale until entering Patient Care in 1987. He attended Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Cardale, as a young man. He enjoyed drawing and building model cars and airplanes.

Besides his father, he leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Cornell Miles Sr., and his wife, Laura Black Miles of Waynesville, Mo., and Jamie Oliver of Tyrone, Pa.; his stepmother, Gloria Metcalf Oliver; aunts, Lucille Jenkins (Clarence), Braddock and Juanita Thomas (Ted), Filbert, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Cornell Miles Jr., Melva McBean, Vic Miles and James and Jaelyn Oliver; one great-nephew; four great-nieces; and many relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at LAW FUNERAL HOME, 135 Angle St., Brownsville, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, conducted by Minister Sandra McCain. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
