Redstone Twp. Wall struck

State police said a vehicle driven by Gerry Bohatch of Allison struck a concrete wall after overcompensating around a curve in an alley behind Main Street at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. Bohatch nor his passenger, Tonya Bohatch of Allison, was injured in the crash, police said.

Stereo stolen

State police said someone stole a stereo from a truck parked at 51 Rose Drive in Strickland Estates sometime between 8:30 p.m., Wednesday and 8:30 a.m., Thursday. The truck and stereo belonged to Peggy L. Churby of Smithfield, police said.

Damage reported

Rose Marie Bobbish reported damage to her newspaper box and pole located along Ralph-New Salem Road, said state police.

Charges pending

Charges against a 52-year-old West Leisenring woman are pending toxicology results after the vehicle she drove was involved in a two-vehicle accident on Route 119 at Airport Road at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, state police said. The other driver involved in the crash, Miranda Stevenson, 17, of Leisenring, was taken to Highlands Hospital by Fayette EMS for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash, police said. The West Leisenring woman was not injured, police noted. Dunbar Volunteer Fire Department assisted with traffic control, said police.

Forgery reported

State police said someone known to John Albert Lucas Sr. of Vanderbilt wrote checks from Lucas’ checking account between Sept. 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005.

Theft reported

Betty J. Arnold of New Salem reported a Sony stereo and blue Nokia cell phone were taken from her vehicle while it was parked along New Salem Road sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Theft from vehicle

City police said medical books owned by Marlon Hyatt were reported stolen from his vehicle in a parking lot on Beeson Boulevard at 5:10 a.m. Friday.

A pickup truck owned by Lewis Combs was parked in the same lot and was entered, but nothing was stolen, police said.

Burglary reported

State police continue to investigate the burglary of 84 Lumber on Romeo Lane after someone broke the building’s front glass door and stole several power tools from inside at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday.

One flown

Mikell Murray of Uniontown was flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital after the 2005 Hyundai sedan he drove left Gallatin Avenue and struck a road sign and tree at 1:23 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

In possession of cocaine

A 29-year-old Waynesburg man was found to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and a pipe for smoking it after a check on his vehicle on Clarksville Road near Hill Top Road at 9 p.m. Monday, said state police.

Charges to be filed

Charges of following too closely behind will be filed against a 74-year-old man whose vehicle reportedly failed to stop, struck a 2004 Dodge Stratus driven by Renee Lynn Churby, 30, on Main Street, jumped the curb and struck a mailbox at 24 Main St. at 4:27 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Neither person, both who wore seat belts, was injured, although both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene, police said.

Someone attempted to gain entry into Bolinger’s Market by breaking a front window at the convenience store that was closed for the night on Sept. 1, state police said.

Man to be charged

State police will file charges of disorderly conduct against a 29-year-old Smithfield man who allegedly created a disturbance at 100 Liberty St. around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Disorderly charge

A 24-year-old Waynesburg man will be charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly walked along the centerline of Route 88 near Sugar Grove in the dark while intoxicated and reportedly fought with a relative who attempted to get him off of the roadway at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, said state police.

Woman jailed

Sabrina Renee Ash, 25, of Enola was committed to the Greene County Jail after failing to post $10,000 bail on charges of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and introducing a controlled substance into a correctional institute after she was reportedly observed by closed circuit television providing a controlled substance to an inmate at SCI Greene at noon on Sunday, state police said. Security staff at the jail seized the contraband, which field-tested positive for marijuana, said police.

Ongoing investigations

Police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:

– An Oct. 2 theft of a right rear wheel of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of West Apple Street.

– An Oct. 1 theft of a license plate from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of East Murphy Avenue. The plate number is EXW-9300.

State police said someone damaged a metal hinge at Bobtown Market sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Woman suspected

A 19-year-old woman is suspected of changing the amounts on checks written to her by Andrew Hajduk, 54, of 520 Ridge Road between 10 a.m. Sept. 10 and 10 a.m. Sept. 28, state police said.

Tools stolen

Someone broke into a construction trailer and stole numerous tools from inside sometime between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, state police said.

The trailer is located at a construction site along East Riverside Road. The victim of the theft is Roy Horrell, police said.

Someone stole $897 from an unlocked drawer in an unsecured office at Sweet Pea’s convenience store at the intersection of routes 40 and 166 between 7 a.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Home burglary

Someone stole all the copper piping and a TV from Yvone Deleon’s home on Wellington Avenue in Labelle between Sept. 7 and Wednesday, state police said.

Gun stolen

State police said Paul Babich of Fayette City reported that a .22-caliber revolver was stolen from his Brownsville Road residence between Aug. 26 and Sept. 30.

Boy injured

Seven-year-old Brandon Tate of Uniontown was shot in the right ear with a BB or pellet gun around 6 p.m. Wednesday while he was playing with friends on the back porch of a Searight Avenue home, city police said.

The two other boys told police they heard shots and then heard Tate crying and saw his ear was bleeding. He was taken to Uniontown Hospital.

Diesel fuel stolen

About 500 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a fuel tank and two bulldozers owned by Lawson Excavating of Finleyville at a fly ash dump at the corner of Heisterburg and Labelle roads between 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and 6 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Man cited

Craig Mattie, 36, of Brownsville was cited with harassment for allegedly hitting Selena Mattie, 31, on Main Street at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

License stolen

City police said Pennsylvania registration plate EYV-5535 was reported stolen from a vehicle owned by Margaret Mogle of North Street at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Man cited

Emmett Watson, 43, of 123 N. Gallatin Ave. was cited with public drunkenness following a disturbance on Walnut Street at 10:22 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Charges filed

Police filed charges of public drunkenness against Pauline K. Steindl, 43, of Connellsville, after police found her Oct. 2 allegedly involved in an altercation with an unidentified woman in the 700 block of McCormick Avenue.

Uniontown

Theft reported

City police said Georgia Mansberry of Uniontown reported Wednesday that someone withdrew several hundred dollars from her bank account. A man with an accent called her and offered to help her with her taxes for $45 and she gave him her bank account number, police said.

The theft is under investigation.
